BUTTERFLY BUSH 7x7 Card Topper with 8 Sentiment Tags, 5 Extra Butterflies for Decoupage/Decoration & Commercial Use
This watercolour floral topper, showing butterflies on the blooms of a purple butterfly bush, makes a beautiful card for any occasion all by itself. But the sheet also includes eight easy cut sentiment tags, and five extra butterflies for extra decoupage or decoration. The watercolour frame would also be a great backdrop for you to add further embellishments if you want to do so.
(To avoid duplication, please note that this sheet is now also available on CUP as one of the 15 sheets in my "Floral Bumper Kit 1"
(cup848110_79993).
Finally, this card topper comes with small-scale commercial use, meaning that you can sell any cards you hand make with this sheet, on CUP or anywhere else.

A delicate and elegant, pen and water colour design by Clare Walker, able to be used, just as it is, as a topper, for almost any female celebration. Or, if you have the time and wish to add dimension, add the elements and any of the sentiments provided. I love Clare's work, and like to use all of the above to my advantage.
I used the shades of the purple, mauve and green, from the art work for backing sheets, and made 2 copies of the sheet provided. The first copy, I made onto copy paper and cut out all the elements. I used double sided tape and attached the main art work onto a deep purple backing sheet.11cm x 11cm. I then used a permanent purple pen to edge the purple backing sheet and the peel off strips and edged the topper frame. I made another slightly paler purple backing sheet,12 x12cm and used the double sided tape to attach the ribbon across the front, 2.5cm up from the lower edge, leaving the ends loose and long enough to wrap around to the back later on. I then attached this to the darker purple backing sheet. I used a bright apple green backing sheet 12.5cm square to attach with padded tape and finally a mauve backing sheet, 13cm square, which I edged with glitter glue, and attached to the green backing sheet. I wrapped the ribbon around to the back of the mauve backing sheet, and secured it. I made a bow and attached it at the left hand side. What a beautiful card, I am so pleased and it was so easy to make.
The second copy of the sheet, I made, was onto a 200gsm white card, and I cut out all the elements, and trimmed off the outer purple and mauve frame, and attached the remaining central art work onto the front of the card using padded tape.
I used white glue to attach the smaller elements onto the lighter shade of the purple card, and when dry trimmed them carefully and used tiny padded squares to attach them in place. I added gems to 2 of the butterflies and added the sentiment.
I used a fine black pen to highlight the feelers.
The main card is white 200gsm card cut at 27x 13.5cm, which I folded and used padded tape to attach the topper
For the insert I used an ivory pearlescent sheet cut at 26cm x 13cm and used a smaller version of the art work for the left hand side, I used the copy paper elements to glue onto the purple card and used them to appear to fly into the card on little white glue dots, I then coloured with a water colour pencil. I hand wrote the Happy Birthday with the same pencil.
Clare, I hope you like what I have done with your beautiful art work and design. A big Hug and Thank You

Printed and cut out design sheet, as well as matching background paper (cup1168426_79993). A piece of the background was mounted onto purple card with DST, trimmed to leave a narrow border and secured to left hand side of front of white base card with DST.
The topper was mounted onto purple card with DST, trimmed to leave a narrow border and secured with DST on the right hand side, overlapping.
Decoupage and sentiment were added using foam pads. A very pretty card made by combining both of Clare's lovely designs.
