Our church has many different types of ministries. One of the is specifically for those over 50. This is a photo of some of the people attending this years celebration.
We had a terrific time, these people are so nice and easy to work with, it took almost no time at all to set-up and tear down for this great potluck luncheon.
About 30 of the churchs members attended and everyone left stuffed with wonderful food and happy because of the fellowship.
Finally my new precious kitten has arrived. She traveled 500+ miles to me, accompanied by her breeders. She is adapting very well here and she finds her way around to the important areas - litter box, food and water.
Of course I have tons of play toys for her.She is a Ragdoll breed kitten and these babies are just like puppies, they follow you around and are great companions.
Ive named her Fanci because she is just gorgeous!
For a recent church event, I made heavenly chocolate cupcakes with Baileys Irish Cream (just the extract :) buttercream icing.
Wow everyone loved them!
I will probably make them again today for tomorrows womens pool party.They were very moist and the aroma filled the house, the only thing, is that I eat too many every time I bake :)Thanks for looking!
She actually swam with the manatees here in central Florida, USA. She had a terrific time and was amazed at their sizes. A bit shy at first, she soon joined the front of the group and found herself nose to nose with a mama!
There was also a baby, called a calf that was about 125 pounds. The mother calf relationship is the strongest in the manatee world.
Several miles from my home is a breeding ground for manatees, also known as sea cows. Crystal Springs, Florida, USA, which has the largest concentration of manatees worldwide. About 600 manatees visit the Crystal River springs each winter.
The springs are beautiful and always just the right swimming temperature, for the manatees and people too. My daughter is visiting with me from Pennsylvania and Im surprising her with a trip to swim with the manatees and delicious fresh seafood dinner!
The Crab Plant Restaurant serves the most delicious grilled salmon Ive ever tasted. Shes going to be so surprised and happy!
