News & Updates from Bodil Lundahl
I'm sure a lot of you know Ulla Skraedderdal? - She is from Denmark (like me), and a prof.
CUP crafter making very beautiful cards. I know that Ulla has made hundreds of stunning CUP Cards from a lot of brilliant CUP designers' sheets, but just a few days ago Ulla uploaded her card No. 100 from MY CUP sheets!!!
I am SO proud and SO grateful to having Ulla's cards in my CUP gallery. As an applaus to Ulla I've made this collage showing 25 ( 1/4) of her cards from my sheets - including No. 1 and No. 100, and I hope you all agree with me, that this is worth celebrating. I also know, that most of Ulla's cards are for sale.
Please have a look in her gallery - she deserves it :) http://www.craftsuprint.com/ulla-skraedderdal/ These two images relate to my newest floral series starting with cup572001_1395.
Here is a little story with a very happy ending: We have just had our first New Years Eve with our 4½ years old dog, Tika.
We got her in January 2013, when she was 3½.
After a life in a kennel where she had given birth to 32 puppies (8 puppies 4 times) she just needed to be adopted and to be someones sweetheart. During our first 11 months with Tika we've found out that she hates fireworks.
She's not really scared, but we believe she gets angry in order to protect us. <3 Well, in the area where we live there is always a lot of fireworks up to New Years Eve.
It started a few days before Christmas and got more and more intense the nearer we got tothe 31st December.
Well when the day came there was SO much fireworks all through the day, and pour little Tika barked and barked and barked.
She wouldn't eat and she wouldn't drink and was moaning or barking all the time. Oh dear!
We gave her a quarter of a tranquillizer, but it didn't help her much. Just a few minutes before midnight I suddently got an idea. I have some earmuffs I sometimes use when it's very cold. I stuffed them with lots of cotton pads and put them over her ears. Wouw!
She didn't mind at all to wear them, on the contrary she suddently relaxed and she ate up all her dinner and drank some water too.
What a relief!
We kept on cuddling her for a couple of hours while she was wearing the earmuffs, and about 02.30 it was so quiet outside that my husband could take her out for her first dog walking in 2014. Happy New Year to all of you from all of me, my husband Anders and from Tika.
These two designs is from a serie of five. Please have a look at the other three designs too.
This is an old picture of my favourite garden rose, but though we have the most beautiful summer weather here in Denmark at the moment, and the rose is blooming even more beautifully for weeks now, it has mostly been without any attention from me :( The last month or so has been such a hard time, as I havent been able to make just one single new design, and now I'm afraid that you may have forgotten all about me in the meantime :( I have had to purchase a new computer because I had been so clumsy to spoil my only 3 years old one by splashing it over with a sticky drink. Getting a new computer has been a bit of a night mare.
Both the operating system and the included software package were so much different from my usual ones.
I had also lost my designer programme, which I only had on my harddisk, and a lot of my "nearly finished designs", which were lined up on my old desktop. I must admit that getting older has changed my learning ability way to much in the wrong direction, so it has been like starting all over again, and as I only had my own help to solve all the upcoming problems, I haven't got a teacher to blame.
What a shame! But, hurray, after having been sitting day after day working on my new computer, I have finally seen the light, and little by little I have found out that everything isn't as bad as I thought it was :) I have now finished my two first "new designs" and uploaded them, and here they are ... Tomorrow I'll sit in my garden enjoying my beautiful roses ;) Here is a picture of my favourite garden rose.
Hooray!
Today I have reached the magic number of 2.500 sold downloads, and now I only need to sell 2.500 more downloads to become a GOLD DESIGNER. Well, to the major part of my fellow CUP designers and crafters this doesn't say much, but to me it's GREAT. When I close my eyes and think about, it's like watching a film: "2.500 prints (one of each design) side by side on the floor in my sitting room, the door to the garden is now opened, and each of the 2.500 prints is lifted from the floor, and one by one they are flying out of the door and up in the air.
They are destinated to talented crafters all over the world, who after their beautiful work are handing their stunning cards over to thousands of people, and all of these people are receiving them with a happy and thankful smile on their face." I tell you, that's a beautiful film to watch! :) Therefore I thank CUP and each and every crafter, who purchased my designs.
I thank for each and every finished card presenting my designs and for all the 'likes', comments and compliments I have got. <)3 <3 <3 :) You really mean a lot to me :) <3 <3 <3
