Vintage Victorian Christmas Lady With Hat Card Watercolour Style Illustration
The Victorians loved Christmas and (thanks to Queen Victoria's German husband Prince Albert) were largely responsible for how we celebrate the holiday today. The first commercial Christmas card was commissioned in 1843 and its success led to huge popular demand for new designs which resulted in some of the most incredible and renowned illustrators of their time being discovered. I have drawn on the influence of some of those artists for my card designs. Add a touch of vintage Victorian charm to your crafting with this adorable watercolor painting style Christmas illustration.
This vintage style ephemera is a handy addition to your papercraft collection. Supplied as a high-resolution A4 JPG it can be easily resized to suit and used as a focal point in your vintage-theme artworks including but not limited to scrapbooks, greeting cards, tags, toppers, junk journals, ephemera, mixed media collages, book illustration etc. Very versatile and will lend itself to many projects.
Alternatively, you could just print and pop it in a little frame it as a piece of charming holiday decor. This illustration also makes a lovely gift idea for those who appreciate vintage style prints and Victorian style artwork.
My files are always created at 300dpi and in the Srgb colour space. I carefully test print each one before offering for sale. The finished results you obtain will of course depend on the printer, ink and medium used.
