Golden Christmas 1

I have made 2 cards today from this sheet provided by Brenda Scott. The first one has2 backing sheets with the main card being matte black.

I cut out the main element leaving a tiny white border and using D.S. tape for attaching this to the backing sheet, I attached a red satin, gold trimmed ribbon across the back 3cm up from the bottom edge of the main element, and then a 2.5cm wide gold satin ribbon across the centre of the red ribbon.

I then attached the deep burgundy red 13.5 x 9.25 cm backpacking sheet, and the 14.5 x 10.5 gold, Number 1, Lush card front, cup322770_1121, to the main element and the15 x 11.5 black card front using D.S. tape.

Before I completed the step by step decoupage, I used the gold dust, glitter glue effects using a soft brush and allowed it to dry.

The decoupage has a right and left side to the tiny bells and baubles and I attached these using tiny padded D.S. squares.

The insert is the same Lush gold sheet cut to size and the verse is from the free Christmas list.

The second card has the same insert and verse. The main image has a slightly larger white border and has the same satin ribbon as before, but I used the reverse side of the ribbon as it is textured.

The backing sheet is the lush gold sheet and these are matted together and then onto a Christmas rose red background print which is the main card front.

I have used gold glitter and black peel offs and the gold dust as for the previous card. The ribbons are attached with power tape, and I have used the sentiment supplied to both cards. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
