Perfect Christmas - 6 x 6 inch card front with decoupageCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

Thank you to Caroane designs for this delicate and yet traditional Christmas image. I have printed it twice onto 170gsm satin finished paper. The main card is pale blue cut at 25.5x 12.5 cm.

The first backing sheet, cut at 12.5cm square is silver and white swirls and is attached to the card front using red power tape.

The second10.25cm wide x10.75 cm high, backing sheet, I made using a deep blue cut at 6.75cm high over lapped with the burgundy cut at 4.75cm high and joined at 6.5cm from the top edge.

Before attaching the main image using red power tape, I have used the red peel off strip and the white peel off strip as embellishments.

I used the second print to remove the central image and attach it using D.S. padded tape. I added the sentiments and the rosette with the candy cane. The red ribbon bow is added as extra embellishments and secured with red power tape.

I have used the reserved silver frame from the sheet provided, the extra elements, the silver peel off sentiment and the verse to over lay with the snow flake image.

To do this I prepared the insert on the blue background and then used the acetone snowflake image to print over the top.

This all took a little extra time but the desired effect was well worth the effort. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
