A5 Spring Fairy Card Front with Topper and Sentiments, Birthday PrincessCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I have made several cards using this delightfully wistful and beautiful design.

I have used the hidden ribbon with a small front fold design, for the main featured card for my Grand Daughter, who is turning 18, a quick card with the believe sentiment for my daughter and a Thank You to use as part of my contribution to the Charity Organisation “Caffe Craft Club” to which I belong and is now “ In Home Isolation” and working like so many other charities in Australia, via the email and post.

I have also used the matching insert, cup1033130_89143, also a design by Angela Mills, as backing sheets and inserts in various ways with each of these cards.

I have used the A5 print size for each of the cards, and made several copies of the sheet provided.

In making the first card I have used the main full image as the backing sheet on to the white 26x14.5cm card front.

I measured with the outside (R.S ) facing and the card lying flat, in from the left and made a M fold at 10.5m and a V fold at 21cm.

I attached the main image to the card front and used the second image to cut away the outside frame and retaining all the small and large flowers and the sentiment, attached this as a topper using Padded D.S. tape.

I made a slit in the centre card fold 4cm long and threaded the 80cm length of organza butterfly embossed ribbon through from the inside to the outside of the card, and attached this across horizontally onto the inside of the back of the card.

I have then used the matching, cup1033130_89143, A5 Spring Butterfly Insert to attach, using D.S. tape to the inside of the card.

I have used an extra copy of the insert sheet to cut and paste the extra smaller elements using padded D.S. tape for the fold back front view image and used the insert view for the outside view of the panel, when the card is closed for posting.

I have used a silver gold swirl petal peel off as extra embellishments and a butterfly from the sheet.

To make the second card I have used a white Crafty Bob white prepared 23 x17cm card and scored and folded it before attaching the pale green 16.75x11.25 backing sheet, and the 15.5x11cm section of the matching insert which I have edged with a matching bronze metallic permanent pen to attach using D.S. tape.

I have then attached the main image using padded D.S. tape and attached a pale green bow. I have used the insert for the inside. I have made this same card as a thank you and added some extra elements as decoupage using extra flowers to the edges.

Both of these have silver peel off strips as extra embellishments. It was very useful to have so many choices with the sentiments supplied. I have uploaded a tutorial for the hidden ribbon technique with photographs and measurements which are easily adapted to any card and ribbon size.
