Ribbon Weaving 3AA

I printed my design on Crafty Bob glossy photo paper, printing the whole sheet B5 size. This is the completed card. Below are the various stages. Cutting out the basket area which is to be woven with the ribbon.

The ribbon stretched across horizontally, one piece at a time, but not overlapping, and secured in place with pieces of Selllotape.

Then using a threader, do the same vertically, using a different colour, weaving the ribbon, up and over the horizontal ribbon. to give a woven effect.

I put pva glue onto the back of the card, turned it over, and glued it to a silver mirror card, added a matching purple ribbon bow, and decoupaged the Happy Birthday sentiment using sticky pads to complete this pretty card.
