If you want an alternative to a easel frame card, this is it! You can actually make a picture frame / photo frame, for the new instant print 2x3" photos created by Polaroid Zip /Snap or Instax Mini cameras, or Kodak, Prynt, & HP smartphone portable photo printer devices! These frames are also great for weddings, showers, or events, as place card holders, dinner party name holders, party favors, display signs, an alternative to 3D cards, invites, with removable inserts for messages, replace with photos, use as a gift tag, hang as an ornament, or use as a door or drawer hanger!

The frame is convertible in that it has a removable / interchangable easel strut leg & metal brooch pin back, bar style, 35 mm sold on Craftsuprint, or 1 1/4" long! You can hang it as an ornament on a Christmas tree, or any holiday ornament tree, or wear as a name badge, frame pin, or fashion brooch lapel pin costume jewelry!

The lines are a chocolate mousse color, so you can print it onto tan or neutral paper card stock. The 6 panels fit onto a 10 1/2" x 8" field, that print onto an A4 sheet, but can print onto a letter size sheet of paper, card stock, washable inkjet printer fabric, or reverse the image, or mirror the image, and print it onto Therm o Web HeatnBond Ultrahold, an acid free, photo safe, paper backed, adhesive interfacing that the pattern can be printed onto using your inkjet printer - just remember to reverse / mirror the download, as it will be ironed to the back of solid color or manufacture printed fabric, like cotton or silk, even satin is good for it! All you need is a letter or A4 size piece of fabric, per frame pin ornament. One 5 yard or 4.6 meter roll of Ultrahold, sold at Barnyarns, Hobbycraft, and online, also Walmart, Michaels, AC Moore, & Joann Fabrics in the US, that large roll will yield up to 32 A4 or letter size pieces of printable Ultrahold, enough for up to 32 frame pin ornaments!

All you need is:

One sheet of card stock or washable, inkjet printer fabric, or printable vinyl, per frame pin ornament

2 lengths of ribbon: ribbon length 9" or 23 cm long by 1" or 2.5 cm wide (for connecting strut leg to easel back), and ribbon length 2 feet or 2/3 meter long by 1/8" or 3mm wide ribbon - this is thread through the 7, u shaped aligned or 3 sided row of circle holes that you will hole punch or poke out & cut out circles with pointy scissors (pointy, small, embroidery like scissors for fabric, once Ultrahold is ironed to the back - Fiskars makes a great pair that is nonstick for paper or fabric between 5 and 10 pound) - the skinny, long ribbon makes the photo pocket, to hold the photo and its protective sleeve in place.

clear, acid free, sheet protector page found in sheet pocket packs in 50 count in stationery, office, &scrapbook supply stores ,make sure that its labeled acid free - one page yields 10 - 2x3" photo sleeves, sold in Target, Walmart, or Walgreens, under 5 pound / $6

OPTIONAL:

Velcro brand or some sew on or sticky back hook & loop 3/4" wide by 1 yard or meter, will use 6" or 1/6 meter length per frame pin ornament

ribbon for hanging as ornament or on wall 3/8" or 6mm wide by 1 foot or 1/3 meter

bar style brooch pin back 35mm long or 1 1/4" long (sold on Craftsuprint in a pack!)

If sewing, although this can be a no sew project, and still be a washable frame pin ornament, once the photo, sleeve, & pin back are removed, use denim weight or heavy duty 100/16 or 110/18 weight machine needle, and since you are sewing through fabric and Ultrahold, may gum up on your needle a bit, pluck out adhesive bits on needle with straight pins, in case in gums up, and use long stitch lengths like stitch length 3 or 4

Use pack of straight pins, long ones with pearl ends, to help hold panels in place, when sewing. Sew panel together, leaving an opening between panels 2 & 3 for the photo & sleeve, plus you'll have some glue connecting some panels, so be careful with the needle, again use long stitches, and sew slowly. Therm o Web makes a HeatnBond Lite or Featherlite that is great for sewing through, they also have double paper sided sheets sold in packs, letter size, for printing on and using for sewing.

If making with fabric for the frame to be washable, remove photo, sleeve, & pin back, place in a lingerie bag, mild detergent, no fabric softener, delicate cycle, stand on towel to dry.

hot glue sticks and low temp glue gun - can use Cool Tech or other super low temperature glue guns for kids to make frames, with adult supervision - the lower cool temp glue guns have heated glue that is 75 degrees cooler than average glue guns, and my 4 year nephew used it, without problems (of course I was there with him, naturally).

Optional straight pins or safety pin, to help feed ribbon through holes, feed in both directions, one way, and then coming back to beginning, hot glue knots on both sides, and ribbon tails cut and adhered to panels, to finish them, for not fraying.
