Thank you Russ for another of your fabulous aperture cards. I love this set, and the challenge.
I used a cream card 29.5 x 21cm.
I printed out the sheet in C.B's matte copy paper twice. I cut out all the elements from one sheet. I covered the card front with a pale grey print 14.8 x 21cm using D.S tape. I cut away the aperture from the 1st topper. I had already printed onto Vellum a backing sheet( reduced to(13 x 9 cm portrait) "Waterfall" CUP #478125_730 and used vellum D.S tape to attach it to the 1st topper over the aperture space. This is backed by the cream card through the topper.I cut the main topper from the second sheet and cut away the tartan surround leaving the lace aperture intact. I traced this shape and the cut away aperture on to strong card. I cut this shape out slightly smaller than the original lace size.
I used D.s tape to attach these together and then D.S Foam strips to attach it to the card front. I finished the decoupage of flowers and butterflies and was very thrilled not to have to cut tiny feelers using D'S Small foam squares. I added the sentiment. I used the same backing sheet for the insert and the second sheet elements decoupaged in the RH top and RH Bottom corners.
What an amazing 3D effect this gave the card

I reduced the size and printed on matte photo paper, two copies. I used spray adhesive to glue the topper to a cream card, let it dry, then cut out the aperture.
I used narrow dst to attach a piece of gold tulle, cut just slightly larger than the oval, over the opening on the front of the card, then cut the opening from the second copy of the topper, cut around the lace and attached it with thin foam pads.
I glued the black oval to the inside right of the card (under the opening on the front), glued an extra decoupage image to the top left and added a gold peel-off sentiment.
The decoupage on the card front was added with silicone gel and I finished with a bow made from the tulle.
Loads of possibilities with this unique design.
