Christmas Snowflake Backing Paper 4Completed by Margaret Mountstephens
OccasionI printed the design sheet, set to A5, onto a sheet of printable acetate. I attached this A5 print onto a White A4 Cardstock, which I had folded in half to make the A5 base card, leaving a very small white border. I die cut the greeting from silver cardstock. I then cut a 'shadow' of the greeting in navy cardstock. Followed this with another 'shadow' from silver glimmer paper. I combined the three elements together to make my main topper. I then attached this to the centre top of the card with foam pads. I also die cut six small snowflakes and one medium size snowflake and attached them directly onto the acetate card front. I added various small blue stones to the snowflakes and a little glitter glue. I then added a navy ribbon bow just below the greeting to finish. The acetate doesn't show too well in the picture but in real time it is stunning! Do try this I'm sure you will love it.
My 2nd card I printed onto photo paper. I created a scene, using die cut houses, Santa and sleigh, and some stars. I finished the card by adding little gems, glitter and 'snow.' I also added a card 'snow drift' at the bottom. This did cover up some of the prettiest part of the design sheet but, it does show how many ways this beautiful background can be used.
