The design was printed onto 160 gm card and the pieces cut out. The background was printed onto copy paper. The background and the main piece of the design were mounted onto a card blank using dst. The other pieces were layered using 1mm foam pads. I left a very narrow white border on the layered pieces to make it easier to cut them out.
The background can make a huge difference to a card and these blend so well. Check out the different colours in this series of backgrounds.
