I used this design in a different way to the usual background for cardmaking, I used it to make boxes. I printed the design onto Centura Pearl Ivory card which gives a lovely finish, though the sheen does make it more difficult to take a picture that shows the intricate design of the background.

I trimmed off the white area around the card before scoreing an inch in from either long side. I then scored accross the card at 1", 4", 5", 8", and cut at 9". I cut in from the long sides to the long score line along each of the scores to create the tabs for sticking. I used Pinflair Bookbinder glue to glue the tabs in place at the four corners of the bottom and at the front corners of the hinged top. As decoration I simply glued a piece of ribbon on the diagonal across the box lid.

I used the box to give a gift of some beaded jewelry for Christmas but they could be used for gifts of jewelry, chocolate, etc., at any time in the year.
