A4 Kingfisher Patterned Background with Commercial Use
These cheerful kingfishers make a great card-background for any bird-lover, but may especially suit male occasion cards and craft projects. The design would also work equally well as a small piece of printable gift-wrap, background for scrap pages, or anything else you can imagine.
The design prints well at normal A4 size, with a small border for easy printing, but can be easily resized.
Plus, this comes with small-scale commercial use, meaning that you can sell anything you physically make using this sheet, whether on CUP or anywhere else.
(Finally, to avoid duplication, please note that this sheet is now also available on CUP as one of the 15 sheets in my "Nature Backgrounds Kit 1" - cup874275_79993).
Happy making!

This busy kingfisher background sheet, reminded me that I had a photograph of a kingfisher in my stash. I hunted it out, and cut it, to exclude the extras in the background. I used padded D.S. tape to attach this, to a white card which measures 11.5 x 8cm. I used a permanent blue pen, to colour the edges of the white card. I made a blue backing sheet, which measures, 12.25 x 9.25. This is core card, so I coloured the exposed white edges, with the same blue pen, and attached it to the back of the white backing sheet, using padded D.S. tape. The next backing sheet is a very bright orange, and measures, 13 x 10cm. I attached this to the blue backing sheet, using the padded D.S. tape. I used a copper coloured peel off strip to stick to all the edges of the orange backing sheet. I made a white card, and, I covered the back, front and inside with the sheet provided. It would have been much easier and quicker, to print the sheet provided, directly onto the white 200gsm card. However, as I was unable to work out how to print it out, as a horizontal image, at the size required, I opted for the more difficult option. I made the white card, 27cm x 11cm, and then scored it and folded it. I covered the outside of the card first and then attached the topper, using D.S. tape. I was then able to attach the denim ribbon to the front and secure it on the inside of the card. This I was then able to cover, when I attached the kingfisher background sheet, to the inside of the card. I made my own sentiment. For the insert, I made a white insert, to attach to the background sheet, which measures, 9 x7.5cm, and coloured the edges with the blue pen. I used a treasure chest freebie, called craft sheet N0.32- Step by Step Instructions, of some birds, and used one of the kingfisher birds to make up as a decoupage. I used tiny padded squares for this process. The right hand side of the insert has an orange backing sheet attached, which I edged with the blue pen. It measures 10.5 x 10cm, which means, it is large enough to write the greeting. I cut out one of the little kingfisher birds, and gave it, a fish in its’ beak. There is another kingfisher on the step by step sheet. I will be able to copy this kingfisher, and use it on other cards, and be able to use this same background sheet in a different way.
Thank you Clare, This ramped up my imagination, and stirred some childhood memories.
