This purchase was a bonus for me, as I have made maximum use, in one day, from this 2 for 1, background sheet. I began with the finished stitched topper, that I had just completed, and while I was deciding how to present it as a card, these two, pink and blue background sheets were right there, and, the perfect combination for the colour scheme I had used in this stitched and beaded topper. This stitching design, I had also recently purchased, from craftsuprint, Ed041Floral, cup281064_1549, by Emy van Schaik.
I printed the main card from the pink backing sheet onto a 200gsm textured pink card with amazing results. The first backing sheet behind the stitched and beaded topper, is the blue clematis section of the backing sheet provided, which I printed onto 200gsm white card and then cut at 14cm square. To this, I added a blue ribbon with mauve spots, and then attached the sheet, using padded tape. Before attaching these to the main card, I attached a deep purple textured card, which I had cut at, 15 x 15cm square, and attached using double sided tape, and then used the same tape, to attach this, to the main card front, 17cm x 16 cm .
I tied a bow with the same ribbon, to complete the elegant floral look of this beautiful card.
For the insert, I used both the pink and the blue clematis sheets, which I printed onto good quality copy paper, and cut each of them at 19 cm wide and 14.5 cm high. I overlapped them, joining them in the middle to make a total length of 33.5 cm. I wrote a sentiment, for my daughter on the right hand side, and used a very small copy of the front of the card on the left hand side of the insert. I am extremely pleased with the outcome, and thank you, Pamela for this delightful design. I will find many more uses for this delicate, wistful look of the clematis.
Pamela Horton with a hug for you.
