Floral Cross Sympaty Book CardCompleted by Jan Plimmer

I just loved making this card. I printed the sheet twice once on lightweight card and once on paper. I cut out each of the elements. I used the larger page in card and the smaller one in paper so that I could run the pages over a large marker pen case so that it looked as though the pages were laying like an open book. I glued the pages together by using a fine line of glue from a glue stick in the centre of the base pages.

I then attached the floral crosses using foam pads and attached two peel off butterflies close to each cross by the body and antennae only. To give the butterflies a 3D effect I attached a pair of wings cut from an identical peel off butterfly to the underneath of the wings so that they wouldn't stick to the card and folded them upwards to make it look like the butterfly had just landed.
