I had a bit of fun with these bookmarks. After printing out, I layered the two sea themed bookmarks back to back and stuck together (same for the Sherlock/Spy ones)and laminated them.

I cut them around the laminating and punched a hole for a ribbon.

I have then made up a very simple base card for my bookmark to slip into as a "gift with card" style of card.

I have cut a small rectangle of acetate the width of my card and as high as you can see and used double sided tape to fix it to my base card.

I have found an old envelope with the blue print inside and torn this into "wave" shapes and glued this to the acetate pocket to cover it and make it look like the ship is in the wavy sea!

I have tried to tear the blue envelope with a bit of white on the edges to give the look of white caps on the waves.

I think it is effective. I hae finished off with a peel off greeting.
