This box is very quick and easy to make and yet it looks amazing! I printed the design on matte photo paper and cut out the pieces. The box is simple to cut out using scissors, with no tricky corners needing a craft knife, and the decoupage is just as easy. I scored all the edges and made sure that I had crisp creases to simplify construction. I used wet glue for the box corners so that I had a little time to line the corners up squarely. I then completed the decoupage using 1mm foam squares.
Picture 1 shows the decoupage on the box lid, picture 2 is a side view showing the lid open.
I printed on strong glossy photopaper, cut out the parts and scored and mountain folded along all the inner lines. I glued the 4 tabs with wet glue to form the little box, then tucked in the lid to close.
I used 1mm foam for the Santa decoupage.
Simple to make, this is a lovely vintage design box to present a small gift in. I have added touches of yellow gold stickles to the star and to the angels' hair for a little added sparkle.
A gorgeous little box!
