This is the 5th design I have chosen to make today from the Scouse Mouse Creations offered for purchase which are 2021 calendar card designs.
Pretty in Pink, cup1069954_4063, features the 2021 calendar and the 1920’s style elegant, elaborate costumes of the time, modelled by the equally elegant lady.
I have printed the sheet provided twice onto the same sheet of 170gsm satin finished white card. I have used one copy and the calendar cut from the second copy to make a Small folded 2021 Calendar Notelet Book.
I have posted a tutorial complete with measurements and photographs to help, on this site.
I cut the first image from the sheet I had printed and trimmed it to measure18.5cm x13.5cm. The left side of the calendar is trimmed to keep the black frame and right side of the image has a white margin of 0.5cm.
The sheet is then folded along the left black frame line of the main image as a mountain fold.
I have trimmed the extra Calendar from the second sheet to fit onto the inside of this, by removing the black left frame line.
This allowed the book to close easily. I used D.S. red power tape to attach the calendar. I used a single hole punch to make the 2 holes and threaded 1metre of the 3mm silver glitter edged ribbon through the holes and tied a double bow.
I have used a hot pink permanent pen to define all the edges inside and out. I made 20 grey framed 13 x 8cm sheets each with the message Smile at someone new today, at the bottom.
I attached one sheet using red power tape to the inside back page of the book as it is the permanent page.
Each of the 19 remaining pages are joined at the very top edge only and using a less permanent fixative, so they will peel off easily to be discarded when used.
I have used my glue tape roller and trimmed as necessary, as hand cutting with scissors is less than precise, to fit one on top of the other.
I have also made 2 extra packs to enclose with the gift. I have also made a matching card.
I cut out the main image keeping a 1mm white margin and used the same permanent pen to define the edges.
The 14x10cm backing sheet is a darker shade of the dress and has glitter gold dust along all visible edges and gold peel off flowers as embellishments.
The main 22x14cm white card is scored and folded before attaching the completed topper using D.S. tape.
The insert is cut to fit, and the verse, I have written, which you may use, in the landscape position on the right side.
I have attached a small print of the finished card as an embellishment.
I am using this set of Calendar style designs and the previous designs on my home page, as Christmas gifts for the card making and craft friends, with whom we have been unable to meet due to having to isolate.
I will have many uses for the designs during the early months of the New Year for birthday, Mothers’ Day, Thank you and Easter celebrations.
