I have just designed a calendar card notelet book, for which I have written a tutorial. This is the second of 5 cards I have made this one is using the image from cup1069952, The Look .
I printed the image supplied twice onto the same A4 sheet of white satin finished matte 170gsm card. I used one copy to make the Calendar notelet book and one copy of the calendar image, to attach onto the calendar space inside the notelet book and the second copy of the elegant lady to use as the main image for the topper for the front of the card.
The image measures 8.5cm wide and 10.5cm high.
I left a small 2mm white edge around all 4 sides which I have edged with a peach coloured permanent pen and the attached the silver edged fine 4mm wide black ribbon across horizontally onto the back of the image 4cm down from the top edge before attaching the backing sheet.
The backing sheet is made by attaching the 9.5cm x 5cm gold gloss metallic card to the5cmx7cm peach coloured backing sheet, using D.S. tape to make a 5cm wide x11.5cm high backing sheet to attach to the soft toned diamond quilted textured soft shade of tan main 14x10cm card front.
I have attached the topper in place and used my gold metallic pen to define the edges. I have written a verse which I have put onto the site under verses for Christmas related to covid19 isolation.
This greeting card will form part of the small Christmas gift I have planned for my craft and card making friends with whom we have not been able to meet due to isolating since January this year To make the Small Folded 2021 Calendar Notelet book, I have used one full copy of the sheet provided and cut it down to measure 13.5 x 18cm and scored and folded it along the R.H. black line of the Calendar as a mountain fold.
I have used the same coral shade of permanent pen to embellish the front cover, the edges and define the edges of the inside of this calendar booklet cover.
This then formed the outside front and the outside back of the notelet cover for the book.
I used the calendar only image from the second sheet to then attach the inside cover of the notelet book and made 20 little 13x8.5cm sheets to attach each of the sheets, one by one at the very top edge only, using my glue tape roller.
This was so they could be easily peeled off, when used, to be discarded. As part of the gift I also attached in a clear holder, 2 more packs of 20 notelets.
I plan to make many more of these as they are ideal for what we have experienced at my Charity Craft Function days.
Our Open day will be like no other, as there will be no sitting down, coffee, cake, guest speaker, just a few people at a time with a quick walk through.
It is so disappointing, but understandable, even though our fund raising to post our Christmas boxes will be much reduced.
