This image was colored with Crayola Color Escapes Pencils and blended with Isopropyl alcohol and a paper blunt for a soft sketchy vintage look. The image was distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads and mounted on a piece of Kraft card using Zig Photo Tape. The book synopsis on the rear is credited to Wikipedia and was distressed in the same fashion and again attached with Zig Photo Tape. I added a stamp from LDRS that made me think of kids play acting at pirates on the high seas. The completed bookmark was then laminated and a hole punched for the Rope/twine that will be attached.

I was trying to figure out what I could do with all of the fun new images I got by Gordon Fraser and it occurred to me that they were perfect for a book mark series.. all based around and containing a short synopsis and matching image. I will abandon these and maybe someone will find them and decide to go ahead and read the books on them if they haven't already or be inspired to do some online research on the subject. Wikipedia is full of fun facts and info on so many subjects. Abandoned Art is a fun project I do with my 4 year old... and a great way to share the "Happy"
