When I'm cutting things out using either an electronic cutting machine or with dies I like to maximise the use of cardstock and try and put some flowers, leaves, flourishes, etc., to cut in the unused spaces.

After a while I find that I've got quite a box of cut out bits. And today I decided to put the flowers and leaves I'd cut previously to use, and I decided that these butterflies would be perfet to work with them.

I printed the sheet out onto 250gsm, Super Smooth, white cardstock and cut out one of each of the three largest purple butterflies.

I went over the bodies with a violet Wink of Stella brush pen, and then went out over the wings with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen.

The silhouette of the dancing couple is digi cup396608_1749. The base card is a 7" x 10" black card.

I cut out the centre 3cm in from the sides and 4cm up from the bottom, scored an A4 sheet of acetate in half and attached inside using ultra tacky, red backed, double sided tape.

I used glue gel to attach all the embelishments onto the card.
