Exploding Card - Vintage Santa and Child
An exploding card is very easy to make - just follow the step by step instructions. As well as cards in their own right - they can be stuck onto the front of more traditional cards as unusual 3d toppers. To make this card you need to print out 2 copies of this sheet onto paper, not card. Full instructions on how to assemble the card can be found on the craftsuprint website.
This delightful image shows Father Christmas wearing a crown of holly and a little girl snuggling up to his shoulder.

I printed the design twice onto good quality 120gsm paper and cut it out. I scored and folded the exploding section twice and then attached them, side by side, inside a gatefold card cut to fit.
I attached silver mirror board on the outside doors of the gatefold then layered the background design onto this. I then layered the small photo also onto silver mirror board and placed a piece of ribbon behind each one.
I attached one to each door using thin foam tape. The ribbon fastens to hold the card closed. I placed the greeting inside the card.
