Exploding Card - Peach Poppies
Beautiful peach coloured poppies with a yellow butterfly.
With an exploding card, the card itself gets tied with ribbon and when you untie the ribbon the pictures inside "explode" out because of the way they have been folded. Full instructions are on this website - they are very easy to make and once you've made one or two you won't need the instructions. Once made you can then either leave the card "as is" or attach it to the front of a larger card as a 3D topper.

This is an unusual design, but the instructions to make it are on the CUP forum. After printing the design, I folded the two large squares according to the instructions. The back of the card consists of two patterned pieces, and they can be overlapped to keep the pattern intact. I attached the front sections using double sided tape, and used a green ribbon to secure the card. There is a place on the back of the card to write a sentiment. When the ribbons are untied there is a pleasant surprise inside the completed card.
