Incert with VerseCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

This has to have been the easiest and quickest Christmas card, I have made this year. It is perfect as a topper, and of course absolutely perfect for the insert as it was intended

I have shown the versatility of this design, by Ceredwyn, in the 2 photographs I have included. I was able to print it twice onto the same sheet, and one of these copies, I used as a topper and the other one, I used as an insert.

For the topper, I cut around the main element, leaving intact a very small 2mm of the white card. I used a silver and gold glitter peel off, to attach to this 2mm, of the outside edge. I made a red backing sheet, 11.5cm square, and attached the topper with D.S. tape. I edged this red backing sheet with the same type of Peel off strip.

I made a square white card, cut at, 24cm x 12cm, and used Clare walker's, cup797371_79993, Christmas Mistletoe and Berries Background sheet, cut at the same size, to cover the back, and the front, of this white card, using D.S. tape, and then, folded it in half.

I used Padded D.S. tape to attach the topper, to the card front. The verse is perfect for this card, and the over all look is beautiful.

I was so impressed with this outcome, I decided to use the same format for several of my Christmas cards, that, I had not as yet found, a suitable verse to attach as an insert.

I have attached 2 new photographs of this insert design, which I have used today in cup1104574_1549, ED221, a stitching design I have completed as a Christmas card. To complete the insert, I have cut away the central verse section exposing only the berries and leaves and attached a punched out sentiment.
