Angel with Trumpet Iris PatternCompleted by Helen Jennings

I printed the sheet out twice on paper and using the A5 angel, I used one sheet as a cutting template and the other as a guide to placing the strips of folded paper.

I used 5 different papers in varying shades of blue/silver.

I cut the angel aperture out of an embssed blue and silver piece of cardstock. I followed the numbered grid to build up the iris pattern. I then used contrasting paper, vellum and card to cut out the paper piecing sections and stuck them in place.

I matted the topper onto blue pearlescent paper and then a paler blue pearlescent A5 card.

I added silver peel off borders around the edge of the topper and around the outside of the vellum wing.

I finished with silver peel off corners.
