Gnomes in Winter Exploding Box Surprise Kit
This is a larger than normal kit. It makes a beautiful exploding box with a lovely surprise when the sides fall open to reveal a Christmas Market. You also have the option to have a Christmas Village as the centrepiece also. Great as a special keepsake, with four tags to write sentiments on.

I printed the box sides and the lid onto good quality 300gsm white card and cut these out. I printed the inside panels onto 200gsm white card and cut these out.
I printed the pockets also onto 200gsm white card and then fed all these sheets back through the printer to print the backing paper on the reverse.
The other elements I printed onto good quality 280gsm photographic paper and cut these out. I followed the instructions to assemble the box and lid using wet glue. I added the pockets to the inside of each side of the box using wet glue.
I added the outside panels printed onto photographic paper to each side using thin foam tape. I decided to complete each side before attaching them to the base and then adding the inner base to hide the tabs.
I assembled the display using wet glue.
I arranged some of the elements to the inside of the box using wet glue on the little stands that come with the kit.
Gorgeous when completed. Not difficult to do but it does take some time and patience but well worth it.
By not adding anything extra to the top of the lid allows for the sides of the box to fold down and sit inside the lid thus allowing the inside of the box to be displayed more easily.
There a lots of elements left over and I will make a pop up box using these. Great value for money.
