Santa and Rudolf Shelf Card and EnvelopeCompleted by Pam Stubley
OccasionI printed all the sheets for the card onto photo paper and the envelope onto 100gsm paper. I would add here that due to the depth of the envelope (1 1/2 inches) it would be better to print it onto 160gsm card.
Also, if you are making it up to sell or early for Christmas I would fold all the side pieces down the middle first so you can keep it flat.
I backed all my card sheets with 160gsm card, to ensure there was enough substance to stop the card from sinking when all the uprights were added.
I scored, cut out and folded all the sheets that needed it and finally slotted them into the base of the shelf card, and to finish I added the decoupage using foam pads.
This type of card may put some crafters off- thinking they would not be able to make it but I assure you it really is so simple anyone can do it and there is no fiddly cutting out to do.
A great card to send to people with children or to give to your own children or grandchildren. They will love it.
