I'm really into the chalked look right now - so when I spotted this journal kit - I just had to make one.
Thanks Terri for all the wonderful journal kits - I am working through all of them and making a collection.
This one, will be "Our Story" - just waiting on a Chalk Marker from Stampin' Up to label the front and do the journalling inside.
I printed out all the sheets to begin, and followed the very easy instructions. After assembling my cover - I covered them in my homemade version of Modge Podge to make it more durable.
Then used a Tea Rose Pink colour crochet cotton to make my binding - I found it offered a lot more colour choices for all the various journals I am making.
Then added my pages - as per the instructions.
I used the Chalked 3 x 4 Cards and Accents sheet (cup560825_1966) to create flip tabs within, for the "Our Home" section and the "Documented" one for a "Remember the time"... page that I will put in a family photo of us visiting the Louvre in Paris last year.
After making a paper bag album from scratch earlier in the year - I found this journal a breeze to make and less complicated since Terri has done all the hard work for you.
Why not make one or more today.
Next on my agenda is the "Generations Journal" to do a simple Family Tree. As a touch of difference I also printed out more of the spine cover sheets with more embellishments and used the spine to add a flap that folds over the sides of the page - I simply added it prior to sealing up the page.
Hope you like it - why not check out my homepage for other crafted items I have made.
