Offset Layered Pastel Squares Topper Kit 2Completed by Wendy Howroyd

I printed one of the toppers from Kit 2 onto lightweight card, along with the 3 offset squares together and just the top square.

I cut the patterned centre out of the top square to form a frame, and layered this up along with the three squares onto the topper with foam pads.

I added a suitably coloured bouquet into the frame, sticking the bottom of the stem just inside it with double-sided tape, and the flower part stuck down with foam pads, adding a second decoupage layer to this, also on foam pads.

I used the wavy stripe backing paper to design a card base, printing it onto 250gsm card, with a complete square of it for the card back and half for the front.

I used the topper as a matching insert, printing my greeting on it using Photoshop.

I stuck the insert inside the card base so it was central and then stuck the topper on the front so it completely covered the insert on the half that wasn't covered by the cut down front.

I printed the topper base off twice and stuck the second one on the inside left (directly behind the front topper) to give the front topper extra stability where it overhangs the card front, and it also adds more interest to the inside.

The card is quite simple but effective.
