Advent Calendar Boxes KitCompleted by Wynona O'neil

I had great fun with this project. I found some strong cardboard from an old box and made a drawing of a christmas tree. I cut out 2 of these shapes and painted each side like a christmas tree in a pot. I punched holes through the trees.

I then cut a slot halfway down the centre of one tree starting at the top and then halfway UP the other tree starting at the bottom.

The trees then slot together at right angles. I purchased a star for the top which I slit underneath so it would sit on top of the tree and make it more stable.

I formed little hooks from some paper gliders and slotted the hook - one end through my box which I had hole punched, and the other end of the hook through the holes in the Christmas tree.

This could also be successfully made using a thin ply wood and by drilling the holes through the trees to place the Advent boxes.

The instructions were followed as to how to make the boxes which are colourful, a good size and simple to make.

I have added some bright coloured ribbons to some of the boxes for added effect.
