Santa and His Friends Scalloped Easel Card with Card BoxCompleted by Carolyn Norris

First I printed out the 4 sheets required to make the card and the 2 sheets for the mailing envelop. Then I cut out all the pieces. I used foam pads to decoupage Santa and the reindeer. I then adhered the reindeer and Santa to the stays. (with foam pads)

I started with the envelope, scoring and valley folding on all the indicated lines. I used Terrifically Tacky Tape to adhere the envelope together just to be sure it would not come apart.

Then following the well written instructions, I used an utility knife to cut on the lines in the card base and slipped the reindeer and Santa into their assigned slots. I then glued Santa's stay to the bottom of the card base as far to the right of the slot as possible. The reindeer was placed as far to the right of its slot and the stay was glued to the bottom of the card base. The brown oval was then glued to the bottom of the card base to cover up the stays and to help keep Santa and the reindeer from slipping out of their slots. I then glued the scalloped mouse piece to the remaining large brown scalloped oval. This part was then glued to the folded piece behind the reindeer to form the scalloped easel. When gluing try to place the Mouse between the reindeer and Santa so it will be easily seen. Last but not least I chose a sentiment and glued it to the front of the card base. I was amazed at how quickly this card went together. What a wonderful Christmas card for that special person in your life.
