I printed all the sheets out onto Super Smooth white card and cut out the pieces I needed. Although, as the exemplar picture shows, there is a St David's Day greeting in the kit, I decided to use the "Penblwydd Hapus" (Welsh for Happy Birthday) greeting. I stuck the two bookmark layers back to back using Fotoglue. I used the same glue to attach the front panel to the bottom half of the easel front. I used 2mm deep foam tape to attach the two stopper layers and also the greetings panel, which I stuck in place after adding just one layer of three decoupaged daffodils in the middle. There's even a dragon in the kit that you could decoupage, but I'm afraid that the cuting of that was beyond me, though I'm sure that many would manage it with no problems.
The envelope is simply stuck together using template tape.
It's a really lovely card. The only added embelishment I used was a strip of lemon coloured ribbon on the bookmark.
I was asked to make this card for a lovely man here in Tasmania for a friend of his who lives in North Wales.
So, I printed it on to good quality white card and followed all the easy-to-follow directions to produce a beautiful card that he was absolutely delighted with.
He opted for the Happy Birthday shield and bow since we had missed St David's Day. I can't wait to hear what his friend thinks of it.
