I choose the madonna and child image and printed out 2 copies - one as a cutting template and the other asthe guide for placing the folds.

I used Blue pearlised paper for mary, a natural handmade paper for the swaddling and peach peraised card for the flesh elements.

I used gold peel offs for go around the edge of the aperture and to highlight the "hood" of Mary's dress.

I also put matching peel-offs around the edges of the topper and added 3 stars to each of the top corners.

I mounted the topper on a tent fold airforce blue square card blank, positioning it so it was over the top.

I added a gold ribbo and bow to the bottom of the card.
