Printed onto Crafty Bobs matte paper, used a two tone patterned A4 sheet for extra strength and added the front and the insert after scoring, cutting and folding the pop-out, the pop out structure is brilliant and one I have not done before but so easy and effective, I added a pin to the badge, a great finished result.
I printed out all the sheets onto white satin finished paper, using 170gsm as Allan has suggested in the very easy to follow instructions available on the sheet.
I have used a sheet with inspirational sentiments in small blue print to copy onto the back of the inside sheet.
This enabled the pocket area on the insert inside sheet to open to reveal the printed words. I have used a safety pin and ribbon for the Birthday badge and backed it with 200gsm bronze card. I completed all the work on the inside first.
I attached the area around the opening pop out section using red power tape, and at the same time lined up the 2 centre folds back to back and used red power tape on the fold of the join, to ensure the two pieces matched perfectly.
I then used a glue tape runner over the entire area to be stuck together. I flattened this firmly and using medium sized scissors carefully cut away the white edges starting with the card front edges, flattening it again before cutting to match the back section of the closed card.
I attached the badge using a tape runner on the top right hand side fold back flap only. I attached the birthday tag as written in the instructions and added 2 embellishments, as they happen to be 2 avid interests enjoyed by this 81year old dear friend.
I have punched and tied together the group of ration coupons and added a personal tag.
Following the instructions made this, complicated looking, birthday card so easy as everything is measured to fit together perfectly, resulting in an easy quick and very effective greeting card.
Thank you I love this design. It is one I purchased in November 2013 and never uploaded the photographs. It is wonderfully rewarding to be able to be able to use favourite designs purchased previously. Thank you Allan, I know I will use it many more times. Pamela Horton.
