Gold Lantern - Mailcoach
A kit making a complete A5 card fitting a C5 envelope
The kit includes: the card front, the card back, a separate insert sheet and decoupage layers. The lantern is provided with the background intact to preserve the 'glass' of the lantern.
The card measures 6.4" x 8" and has an antique finish snowflake background set inside a gold frame covered with a green set overlay.
Holly clusters sit in top right and bottom left of the card. An image set behind a roundel of glass is framed by holly, ribbons, parcels and a large gold lantern.
A large sentiment label proclaims 'Merry Christmas', but a blank label is provided should you wish to change this greeting to one of your own.
The insert has a large area for a verse - available from CUP if required.
Each card in the sereis ahs a different scene in the roundel, and ribbon colour.

For this card, I printed on cardstock all 4 pages and while cutting I left the left edge of white on the front.
That I scored for a fold and inserted between the insert and back pages so there would be no white hinge showing.
After scissors and glue, I used a craft knife and foam tape to construct the card. I wanted a bit more depth to the scene so I cut out the middle of the frame (the mail coach), leaving the frame itself still attached to the holly and lantern.
I used bits of foam tape to lift the frame from the card.
Then I proceeded to do the decoupage layers and finished by adding 2 red "jewels"to the greeting tag.
