Thank you to Pam Sterling for offering this beautiful Tiger design for purchase. My family and myself all barrack for Richmond in the AFL in Australia, and this is our mascot. My daughter and myself really enjoy the after games discussion and we sing the Tiger theme.
She is able to go to most of the home games, but I am not, as I live in Queensland.
The elements from the sheets fit together so well and it was so quick and easy to finish, I cannot wait to post it as a surprise for her.
I used padded D.S. tape and small squares to complete the decoupage, and used the blank sentiment to write Go Tiges, as this is actually what we say to one another.
I edged the main image with a black marker pen before attaching it to the white backing sheet which measures 14cm square.
I edged this with the black pen before using padded D.S. tape to attach them together.
I made a yellow backing sheet cut at 14.5 x 14.5 cm and attached it using regular D.S. tape. I attached the very narrow black ribbon across the gold satin and organza wide ribbon and attached them firmly at the back of the yellow backing sheet.
I then slipped a short length of the black ribbon under the black and tied a simple double knot.
I taped it down with narrow regular D.S. tape. For the insert I copied the Richmond theme song onto the yellow 14.5 x 13.5 yellow backing sheet.
I had cut 2 the same so these I attached to the inside of the main linen finished black card which I had cut at 29.5 cm x 15.5cm and scored and folded it.
I was then able to attach the topper to the front of the card using regular D.S. tape. I am more than delighted with the outcome. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
