This one confused me, I bought the artwork as the gold fish bowl popped, But I was rather confused at the black sheet...... Seriously I didnt see it! Never the less I printed the artwork, all of it, onto a matte photo paper and then was completely flabbergasted at the Cat!!! I hadnt seen it at all, not even the eyes! Dont know how I missed it but I did!
so its a goldfish bowl, well I tend to take things up a level, so glossy bowl = acetate! I cut the bowl decoupage layer out, then trimmed a piece of acetate to the height of the bowl, before scoring at one end at 1 cm, to give me a fold big enough to secute to the back of the bowl, then trimmed that side using the bowl decoupage layer as my guide. placing the decoupage layer on the back of the acetate I allowed a 1cm gap before I scored to create the securing fold, and again used the decoupage layer to trim this side. Then I added the decoupage layers of fish. Ordinarily I would have used a 5 mm gap, as that does create a decent bow to the acetate, but it is a gold fish bowl, so the bow needed to be slightly bigger.
I used a good strong tape to secure the acetate to the back of the bowl decoupage, and then using a good strong glue, adhered it to the black layer and mounted it straight onto an 8x8 card base. To finish I added one of the birthday sentiments included.
I must admit I do love this card, probably because it took me by surprise!
