Dragon Woven Corner Card Mini Kit
Effective, quick and easy card to put together, with some simple weaving in the corner. My woven corner card kits have 4 strips which are layered in one corner in a weaving fashion. I like to use thicker mounting tape where they overlap to accentuate the weaving effect. On top of this woven corner you mount the frame and decoupage layer containing the feature picture - a dragon silhouette breathing fire.
There are three pages in this kit - the card front, weaving strips and decoupage elements, and a page of optional sentiment strips. I have designed this kit so you only need to print two pages to complete the card if you are using the default sentiment shown on the kit picture. If you want to use one of the other sentiments, you could print the third page, or move the desired sentiment weaving strip to the second page using a graphics program. (I'm a bit of a frugal crafter and hate using more paper or printer ink than I have to!).
The card is approximately 7.5" x 7.5" square.

I copied the pages onto Crafty Bob's matte photo paper, cut out all the elements. Wove the horizontal and vertical strips and raised them up by using 3d dimensional tape. Using the same 3d foam tape i layered the ovals containing the fire breathing dragon. To embellish the card.
I used glossy accents to build up the gems along the left side of the card. I used yellow stickles to enhance the fire, and put 3 dots using xmas red stickles on the lower right corner of the oval.
Finally created a black border around the base, then mounted it onto a firey red cardstock and then completed it with mounting it on a black card base.
Fantastic male birthday card.
The woven corner gives this card a touch of something different - I also love the colours in the background, they really make the dragon 'pop'!
I printed the design on matte photo paper and cut out all the pieces except the buttons.
I used garnet Liquid Pearls on the dots and, when that was dry, I added Dimensional Magic to their centres to give them depth and shine.
I flat stuck the woven strips and the buttons, layered the top layer of dragon on 1mm foam squares and the outlined dragon on 2mm squares.
To finish I added Yellow and Candy cane Stickles to the dragon's breath. Beautiful!
