Beads & Swirls Large Hexagonal Gift Box Mini Kit
Large 6x3 inch hexagonal gift box design, featuring beads and swirls on soft blue and peach backgrounds. Includes decoupage/pyramid elements and sentiments. This design has a matching backing sheet included. Please see tutorial for full details.
Hi everyone! Got the need for a reasonably sized gift box?
I have, but being unable to trawl the shops I thought I would make this my latest project. So, here is the tutorial for my new large hexagonal gift boxes, available as mini kits. The finished box is 3.25 inches (8 cm) tall and point to point across the diagonal, the box measures 6.25 inches (16 cm). Each kit contains two sheets and some have an optional matching backing sheet for the interior. The first sheet contains the box sides and lid and decoupage, some have two complimentary side/lid designs, some have just a single side/lid design plus the interior backing. The second sheet is the card outer and interior base with sentiments. Just about to submit the first six designs with more to follow.
Hope you like them! Best wishes Christine

Printed on matte photo paper. I glued the included backing paper to the backs of all the side pieces of the box with a glue stick.
The directions suggest printing the backing paper on the backs of the side pieces, but my paper was a bit flimsy and making it double thick made a nice, sturdy box.
I assembled the box according to the directions, using a glue stick-VERY important to use a glue that is repositional for a short time.
I didn't use the included decoupage this time, but added three Prima flowers to one panel.
Finished with a clear glitter glue line along each side seam. This makes a lovely box, nearly as pretty inside as out.
