Christmas Holly Watercolour - FoxCompleted by Louisa Price

This is a 3 sheet kit, which includes sentiments, and insert. and fits nicely on an 8x8 card blank with a narrow mat. There is some decoupage holly to add, as well as an unusual sentiment, "Merry Yule".

As this was a 3 sheet kit with decoupage, I went a bit beyond the Designers idea, and printed all the parts on matte photo paper. I then trimmed the gold edge off of the topper decoupage, and matted it instead on some Gold Mirri, as I wanted a bit of flexibility with the Holly. I folded each holly leaf along the provided vein line to create a more dimensional image, and then repeated the process with the Holly decoupage, gluing only on the back of the berries, so the leaves could stand proud. I used Wild Honey Distress ink to cover the white edge of the Gold areas, and Peacock Feathers on the Holly edges. Again mounted with Foam pads, to allow the Holly room to move, and added the Merry Yule sentiment. Some enamel dots on the holly berries on the background, and some glaze on the main Holly berries and nose tip. I made the card into a tent fold, and matted onto some Navy card stock. Then trimmed the insert to fit, and added one of the small toppers to finish the back of the card.
