Merry Christmas (happy New Year)

I made a hanging decoration instead of a card, so I didn't use the backing sheet. I printed four copies of the left-facing skate (two for decoupage layers) and two copies of the right-facing skate on 200gm matte photo paper.

After cutting them out, I backed the right-facing skates with their mirror image after shaping them for added dimension and using silicone gel, quite high in the center areas and flat on the outer edges.

When dry, I colored the cut edges with a gold metallic marker then used silicone to add decoupage cut from the extra sheets, some embellishments from my stash a bit of glitter, and a peel-off greeting.

I positioned and affixed the two skates together with strong foam tape and added a ribbon for hanging. I made these large, but the files can be resized to all sorts of uses. Stunning!

I resized and printed out sheets onto matt photopaper, cut out and attached base to scalloped edge white card, cut out both sides of skate and attached together with foam pads,and added to base with gold cord as a dangling skate and finished with metal greetings and green and gold pearls.

A beautiful design in lovely colours.

I printed these sheets onto photo paper. I assembled the card with double sided tape and applied the decoupage elements with sticky foam dots.
