A5 Christmas mini kit 8

I was drawn to this design because of the not-so-mainstream colours and of course because it reminded me of beloved Downton Abbey! It's an easy-enough design to hand-cut, includes a number of sentiments, a pyramage option and even some tags. And it has a lot of potential for extras - eg use the middle pyramage layer as a template to cut an opening into the topper to create a shaker card window, use stitching on the inner star circle, or (if you are a miniature lover like me) add some veil netting, feathers, and fur to the central design.

For now, I simply reduced the design to fit onto an A6 card with a thin border around it.

For printing, I used professional quality photo paper 230g/m² for the outside and standard matte for the insert, setting the latter at 50% transparency. I didn't think I needed a sentiment as the background clearly states "merry christmas" anyway! And in Germany, we like to leave the inside of cards completely blank for personal messages.

Three layers of holly for a nice 3D-effect. The finish - a half bead or a rhinestone on the right hand hat, and loads of glitter on the "ribbon"!
