Christmas Flowers of Light - BowCompleted by Glenys Linehan
OccasionPrinted the main sheets on photo paper to fit 7 x 7 cardstock and the insert sheets on good quality paper.
Cut out the main image. Matt and layered red no shed glitter paper onto 7 x 7 cardstock with dst and then matt and layered the main image onto this also with dst.
Quite a lot of decoupage elements have been included so that you can choose how much you want to use and how you want to cut them. I picked the bow and the lamp as my 2 focal points and concentrated on these so instead of using all the holly leaves I just used 2 sprays and cut these out and attached them using foam pads (I have included a photo of the items that I used for my decopage). I cut out the bow and placed this on the main image without removing the backing from the foam pads and then decided to cut away the two holly leaves. I then cut out a second bow and cut away part of this (photo 2). I cut out the light and then cut the second light down(photo 2). I chose to add the 2 front butterflies and cut these out , cutting down the second image (photo 2). Before adding these to the main image I embossed the backs of the decoupage to give them shape (Photo 3) and then added each using foam pads. I added the insert sheet to the inside of the card.
