CHRISTMAS GIFT LANTERN CARD - Santas Little Helpers
For my new 2018 Gift Lanterns, I have slightly changed the shape of the lantern itself, making it a little wider in one direction and narrower in the other. They also now come with a presentation box, making a perfect card and gift in one. THESE BOXES ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH FOR POSTING!
These glorious little 3D lanterns make perfect gift boxes for the party or celebration table, but each little lantern is also a greetings card and a delightful keepsake all in one. They can be used as tealight holders, tho MAKE SURE YOU USE BATTERY POWERED TEA-LIGHTS! They are also wonderful gift boxes for table gifts, money and gift vouchers, small pieces of jewellery and so on! There is lots of decoupage to choose from, tho you only need to add the basic front elements to get a magical effect - the rest is up to you!
Every kit also includes a greetings label as well as a beautiful presentation box to slip the lantern inside. These boxes are NOT suitable for posting, but do make a very special container for your lantern.
The lanterns and the boxes are both really easy and fun to make and every kit comes with picture tutorials included. The finished lantern is approx 14cms high.
Santa's helpers are busy in this design with Christmas lights and decorations - not quite sure how much the little cat is actually helping though!

I printed the box components onto 160gsm card and the rest onto 200gsm photo paper and cut out all the pieces.
I scored and folded as necessary and assembled the box using wet glue and foam pads to add the decoupage.
I assembled the lantern box using wet glue and then added the decoupage using foam pads. A super box which would look great on the tree and not too difficult to make.
