I printed the design onto good quality 255gsm photographic paper and cut it out. I scored and folded the base as expected. I attached the topper to the base using double sided tape. I did what Janice suggested and added some small lights to the base of the card.
I then cut out the windows and added a see though material to the back of the windows. This allows the light to shine through the windows. I attached this to the base card using thin foam tape. I assembled the layers and decoupage using thin foam pads. I added the greeting to the front of the card using a thin foam pad.
I added the greeting to the back of the card using double sided tape. A beautiful card when finished and it will fit into a 7 x 7 envelope for posting. I am going to attach the design with the lights to a card to give it more support as the weight of the battery makes it hard to stand on its own.
I will also try printing the first layer onto card first and then again onto good quality 255gsm photographic. This should help the lights shine only through the windows. And amazing card when finished and it will fit into an 8 x 8 envelope for posting.
