The Ornament - TreeCompleted by Donna Ritchie

This series of designs intrigued me but the card is much easier to make than it looks. I printed the sheets of the design on matte photo paper and the insert on good quality paper. I cut the various pieces out, choosing to layer the corner design using different heights of foam rather than multiple layers. On the central blue flower I added glue and silver glitter before shaping it with an embossing tool and raising it on 2mm foam. I used gold glitter glue on the 'chain' and pearls on the jewels.

I layered the ornament on 1mm foam and the hand on 2mm foam before attaching them both to the base hand and ornament, which I raised on 1mm foam.

I flat stuck the insert inside my card and it was ready to go to someone special.
