Printed on regular cardstock, I used scissors and craft knife to cut out the pieces, doing the layering using double stick foam.

I then cut 2 pieces of regular cardstock at 7" long x 7 1/4" wide for the front and back of the card.

I used craft glue at the left side seam and then scored with a bone folder about 1/4" in, so that the card would open and close easily.

I finished by using craft glue to place the insert.
