I printed the design onto good quality 255gsm photographic paper and the background onto 160gsm paper and cut these out.
I attached the background paper to the inside of the box using double sided tape and then I scored and folded the box as expected.
I cut out the aperture on the front and added acetate to the inside. I added each of the insert panels as instructed to the inside of the box using strong double sided tape.
I added the greeting and the extra violas to the front of the card using thin foam tape.
I closed the back of the box using a piece of backing paper the same size as the back panel.
I then attached the back panel to complete this gorgeous box. I printed this design A4 size and when finished it will fit into a 7x7 envelope when folded flat for posting.
This year's card for my mother-in-law, following a butterfly theme, she still has all the cards I've made for her over the last few years on display!
Printed the main box out of 250gsm Gloss Card and the other elements onto 200gsm Gloss. Cut it all using my Silhouette Cameo.
Added the decoupage elements to the two internal pieces first, then carefully glued into place before finally gluing the box closed. Added a couple more butterflies to the front of the box.
I printed out the design, marked the fold lines, cut out the components, cut side panels from the design backing sheet and glued them to the inside spaces of the base.
Acrylic applied to back of window cut out with double sided tape. Inside components glued to appointed areas.
Tiny butterflies mounted with tape to front and inside. A beautiful self folding card.
