Gift Tags & Paper Beads Mini-kit #4Completed by Gail Pennycuick
I printed the design onto quality matte paper and cut the tags and beads out. I glued the tags to light white card and trimmed the edges and punched a hole in the top, threading fine satin ribbon through each one.
I followed the instructions for the beads, rolling them with a bamboo skewer and securing them with PVA glue. I also used the glue for a light coat over the finished bead, sealing them completely and providing a light gloss look.
I dried the beads on toothpicks stuck into polystyrene, though you can do without it.
Once dry I threaded beads onto the ribbon on the tags and made up a double bracelet with the lighter coloured beads.
I used stretchy clear stringing thread and spaced the paper beads with a green crystal-like plastic bead, tying the ends off with a knot.
This I pushed under one of the beads.
I am yet to decide on how I wish to use the other beads, but I am sure they will look delightful when assembled.
These beads are very easy to make and they could be used in many different ways.
